Try-out dates for 16U Regional and 16U Elite club teams:

*All athletes should come 30 minutes early to the first try-out to submit their paperwork and resolve any registration issues*

*Players need to bring volleyball shoes, spandex shorts, knee pads, and a water bottle*

Try-out Check-list:

• Pay for Tryouts here 
• $100 tryout fee for access to both try-outs + call back date
• Every athlete MUST attend at least one try-out date (Try-out #1 or Try-out #2). However, attending both try-out dates is strongly recommended

• Renew or register 2024-2025 USA Volleyball membership (GEVA). Click here to get the membership
• Every athlete MUST print their membership card and bring it to the tryouts
• You will not be allowed to try-out without this

Playing Time: Club membership DOES NOT cover playing time. Playing time is earned at practice.

Commitment process: 

Roster selections for both “Elite” and “Regional” teams, will be communicated to families as soon as decisions are made by the coaching staff, either by email or phone call. Upon roster announcements, details will be extended to prospective team members, including information about the team for which a player has been selected, fees for the season, and instructions to officially accept or decline a spot on the roster.

Not all team offers will go out at the same time. Coaches may selectively begin the process of extending “early offers” to some athletes when roster decisions are made. Oftentimes, “Regional” team coaches will have to wait until “Elite” team rosters are set before they can assign spots to remaining players, so it is normal for most Elite team offers to go out before Regional team offers.

HOT Volleyball is affiliated with the Garden Empire Region under the USA Volleyball. The Garden Empire Volleyball Association (GEVA) provides strict tryout guidelines by which all clubs and members are governed. Per GEVA guidelines, HOT Volleyball reserves the right to ask for written commitment to an official offer after a mandatory 72-hour waiting period. If a player is unable or unwilling to commit after 72 hours, their position on the team could potentially be offered to another player. In many cases, there will be athletes who have yet to be offered a spot, waiting for word on roster openings.

Official Offers: Team offers will be given out on a rolling basis throughout the tryout process. Athletes will be granted at least 3 days after an offer is made to commit to a team. To commit must do the following:

1. Parent/guardian & player must sign a commitment contract 
2. Accept USAV club assignment (from email invitation)
   1. Important Note: Players can only accept an assignment from ONE club.
   2. If a player receives multiple offers, do not click “Accept Assignment” unless it is the club they wish to play for. Whichever club you click “Accept Assignment” for, you will officially become part of that club. 
   3. If you have not already purchased a membership from the GEVA Region, you will be prompted to purchase the full membership.  This must be done to accept the club assignment. 
   4. If you already have a membership, you will not be required to enter that information again.
3. To secure your spot, you must submit a $800 non-refundable deposit (which is applied to your club dues) 

After you submit the deposit and the letter, you are considered fully committed to HOT Volleyball for the 2024-2025 club season.

You are not allowed to try out for or commit to another club.
