WHAT TO EXPECT

Tryout Prep / Jump Start Camps

Weekly and Multiple Week Options

St. David’s Gym, 215 E. 94th St. (2nd & 3rd Ave.)

HOT Volleyball Summer Camps focus and specialize in building athletes’ overall volleyball skills: strengthening their confidence and improving weaknesses. HOT Summer Camps are structured for athletes to further their volleyball skills over the course of a 1 week volleyball intensive camp. The camps focus on isolating and improving an athlete’s athleticism and knowledge for the sport through conditioning and training. These off-season training sessions prepare players skill sets and build confidence for the upcoming volleyball season.

  • Camps will focus on the individual training of an athlete & team concepts & strategy.
  • Camps will teach volleyball fundamentals of passing, setting, attacking, and serving, combined with conditioning and game play.
  • Endurance & Movement Training.
  • Groups will be divided by age and/or skill-level for best training.
  • Coaches will include current and former collegiate athletes.
  • Position Camps will provide specific instruction in a chosen position (Setter, Middle Blocker, Outside Hitter, DS/Libero)
  • All Camps are co-ed

Jump Start Camp

“Little Spikers”

Work on everything from the beginning by learning the sport, the skills & build confidence, reach your goals of playing on a team. Learn/Prep/Work/Fine tune all skills, condition & game play. Get a complete understanding of volleyball and start the fun of playing with the right training on your skills by learning the mechanics & basics.

Rising 3rd – 5th Grade

Tryout Prep Camp

Middle School

New and want t make your Middle School Team or You have experience & need to get your rhythm back after all this time off? Or want to definitely make your middle school team by getting back in the gym? Fine tune your skills, work on rotations & concepts… need a push to get going? Don’t miss out.

Rising 6th – 8th Grade

9:00am – 12:00pm

Tryout Prep Camp

High School

Prep/Work/Fine tune all skills, all positions, condition & game play. Get your rhythm back before School or Travel Team Tryouts.

Rising 9th – 12th Grade

June 19 – Aug 25 ( no 7/3, 7/4)

12:30pm – 3:30pm

Tryout Prep + Position Camps FULL Day

Get your rhythm back before School or Travel Team Tryouts.

 

In the morning, Prep/Work/Fine tune ALL skills, ALL positions, condition & game play. 

In the afternoon, Prep/Work/Fine tune 1 specific skillset/position, how to move, what to do in all situations. 

We recommend our FULL Day Bundle which includes Tryout Prep and ALL Position Camps

Rising 8 – 12 Grades

Additional Information

  • St David’s Gym 
  • Rising 3rd – 12th Grades
  • Please bring/wear:
    • 2 Camp shirts will be given – Must be worn daily.
    • Water bottles – water fountains located on-site.
    • Knee padsnecessary for playing. Available for purchase on-site for $28.
    • Athletic wear – gym shorts, sweatpants, t-shirts, etc. No jeans, flannels.
    • Gym sneakers or volleyball shoes required!
    • No jewelry allowed! (necklaces, chains, earrings, bracelets, etc)
    • From shoes to shirts, proper attire is IMPORTANT for everybody on the court’s safety! If an athlete arrives dressed inappropriately, coaches may refuse the athlete.
